L’immigrazione è un problema diffuso in tutta Europa, perché molte persone lasciano il loro paese per vari motivi: lo scoppio di una guerra, la persecuzione religiosa, un colpo di stato, ecc. Questo fa sì che le persone se ne vadano lontano da casa. Tuttavia, i motivi di questo fenomeno sono ancora principalmente economici, dato che ci sono ancora moltissimi paesi poveri; queste persone cercano di ottenere una vita migliore, lasciando le loro terribili condizioni di vita.

L’immigrazione non ha una destinazione specifica. La gente trova rifugio dove può, per esempio in America, ma anche nel nostro paese, in Italia. Molte persone sono costrette a lasciare il loro paese e fare un lungo viaggio in barca per raggiungere il loro obiettivo.

Sfortunatamente, molti paesi sono ancora oggi soggetti a regole severe e disumane, che abusano e sfruttano la gente. Tutte queste persone che muoiono per la libertà non chiedono molto, vogliono solo un posto tranquillo dove realizzare i propri sogni.

Questo è, ad esempio, la storia di Samia. La sua esperienza è stata raccontata nel libro di Giuseppe Catozzella, intitolato “Non dirmi che hai paura”. Samia è una ragazza di quattordici anni nata in Somalia, e la sua più grande passione è correre. A causa della guerra ha iniziato il suo viaggio, verso la libertà. Lei è dovuta partire per l’Europa assieme alla sua famiglia, attraversando su una barca il mar mediterraneo, rischiando la vita. Ora vive in Italia, a Torino, ed è soddisfatta della sua vita. La sua famiglia è ben integrata e frequenta la scuola come tutti gli adolescenti della sua età. Suo padre e sua madre lavorano: lui è muratore e lei è una babysitter.

Samia ha ancora la sua passione, ed in Italia è riuscita a realizzarla! Ha vinto una gara di corsa! Questa è una storia toccante sulla corsa verso la libertà.

Immigration equals freedom.

Immigration is a widespread problem throughout Europe, because many people leave their country for various reasons: the outbreak of a war, religious persecutions, a coup, etc. This makes people go away from their home. However, the reasons that cause this phenomenon are still mainly economic, because there are still many poor countries; these people try to get a better life, leaving their terrible living conditions.

Immigration doesn’t have a specific destination. People find refuge where they can, for example in America, but also in our country, in Italy. Many people are forced to leave their country and take a long boat trip to reach their goal.

Unfortunately, many countries are still subject to severe and inhumane laws that abuse and exploit people. All these people who die for freedom do not ask for much, they just want a quiet place to make their dreams come true.

This is, for example, the story of Samia. His experience was told in the book by Giuseppe Catozzella, entitled "Do not tell me you’re scared" (in Italian “Non dirmi che hai paura”). Samia is a fourteen years old girl, born in Somalia, and her biggest passion is running. Because of the war she began his journey, towards freedom. She had to leave for Europe with her family, crossing the Mediterranean Sea on a boat, risking her life.  Now she lives in Italy, in Turin, and she’s satisfied with her life. Her family is well integrated and she attends the school like all teenagers of his age. Her parents work: the father as a mason, the mother as a babysitter.

Samia has still her passion, and in Italy she managed to make it real! she won a race! This is a touching story about “a race to freedom”.

Immigration ist gleich Freiheit.

Die Einwanderung ist ein weit verbreitetes Problem in ganz Europa, weil viele Menschen ihr Land aus verschiedenen Gründen verlassen: der Ausbruch eines Krieges, religiöse Verfolgung, Putsche usw. lassen Leute in die Ferne ziehen. Die Hauptursachen dieses Phänomens bleiben dennoch wirtschaftlich, weil es immer noch Länder gibt, die sehr arm sind; so wollen die Leute ihren schrecklichen Lebensbedingungen für ein besseres Leben entkommen.

Die Einwanderung hat kein bestimmtes Ziel. Menschen nehmen Zuflucht, wo sie können, zum Beispiel in Amerika, viele auch in unserem Land, in Italien. Viele Menschen sind gezwungen, ihr Land zu verlassen und eine lange Reise auf Booten zu unternehmen, um ihr Ziel zu erreichen.

In vielen Ländern werden Menschen leider noch heute sehr strengen, unmenschlichen Regeln unterworfen; sie werden missbraucht und ausgebeutet. So wollen viele Personen, die nach Freiheit streben, einfach nur einen ruhigen Ort finden, wo sich ihre Träume verwirklichen können.

Das ist z. B. die Geschichte von Samia. Ihre Erfahrung wird in dem Buch von Giuseppe Catozzella erzählt, unter dem Titel „Sag mir nicht, dass du Angst hast“ (auf Italienisch: “Non dirmi che hai paura”). Samia ist ein vierzehnjähriges Mädchen, das in Somalia geboren wurde. Ihre Leidenschaft ist Laufen. Samia hat vor zwei Jahren ihre Reise zur Freiheit begonnen. Sie hat wegen des Krieges ihr Land verlassen. Sie ist dann in Europa mit ihrer Familie in einem Boot angekommen und hat das Mittelmeer überquert. Sie hat ihr Leben riskiert. Jetzt lebt sie in Italien, in Turin, und ist mit ihrem Leben zufrieden. Ihre Familie ist gut integriert und sie besucht die Schule wie alle Jugendlichen in ihrem Alter. Ihr Vater und ihre Mutter arbeiten: er ist Maurer und sie Babysitter.

Samia hat immer noch ihre Leidenschaft, Laufen, und ihr Traum wurde in Italien wahr: Sie hat einen Wettlauf gewonnen! Das ist eine rührende Geschichte über das Laufen zur Freiheit.
